Acronis True Image Home 2009 offers complete backup facilities for your PC. This award winning software allows you to either backup selected files and folders, or to create a complete backup of your PC, including the operating system, drivers, folders and files, settings - in fact everything you need to reload your PC after a catastrophic failure. You can backup to different kinds of media - external drives, USB memory sticks, CDs and so on. Acronis also offers the option of storing backups in different formats - flat files, Zip format or Acronis' own TIB compressed format.

Functions are clearly marked, so there is no confusion about what you are doing. Wizards are prevalent, so that setting up a task or function is made very easy for the user.

Everything works great with Acronis True Image. Backups are done so easily that you wonder why you tried to struggle along without a program such as this. Whether it's backing up a few folders, or an entire disk, or even a complete multi-disk system, Acronis True Image takes care of it for you. Restores are also pretty simple, and cloning a disk, i.e. creating a brand new system disk with all your data - Operating System, Registry, and all settings - couldn't be easier. True Image also gives you the ability to create a Startup Recovery area, so that even if your boot sector is damaged, you can still reboot and recover your data. If your hard drive is completely unusable, say after a disk crash, you can use a bootable rescue disk previously created by Acronis True Image to start your system, then reload your complete system from your True Image backup exactly as it was before the crash.
